Hi, I'm not on MX scheme but technical scheme (diploma) and my salary is as follows:

2007 - 1850
Mid 2008 - 2250
2009 - 2380
2010 - 2500
2011 - 2620
2012 ( after adjustment) - 3000
2012 after promotion in april, very likely - 3450

I just recently completed my part time degree. What is a reasonable expected salary if I were to apply for a degree job? My degree is not directly relevant to my current job.

not related to your question but how was it that your salary increased $300 from 07-08? were you promoted? :)

Not telling which ministry. the thing is I want to leave this place but the pay is good. Just want to know if I can get higher pay if I switch to degree job?? I have a feeling I will be given fresh graduate pay.

My degree is from distant learning, part time, basic degree and not relevant to current job

Come on la I have B grading every year and only get around $120 increment. Compared to mx, C also can get $250!

Only the salary adjustment made our pay higher. And I'm earning more than the fresh grads who join us. I don't want to be in that situation when I join other agency. If you are asking why I want to leave when my performance has always been good, well the management sucks. I'm just hanging on till I get a good offer.

Do govt pay that well? You got to be an excellent performer to be happy. Don't expect to join n shake leg. You will be seen as a junk.
