5k at 38, are you a diploma holder? If so, the offer is a good deal.

Hi,
Need some help here. Got offered entry level w salary of 3.5k. However, have been attaining relevant exp since graduating ~2 years ago, and doesn't seem like that's being taken into account. Am intending to nego - what's the chances?

Negotiation is a must when it comes to any job offer. Obviously you dont just accept the first offer straightaway. Knowing the chances isnt relevant.

What are your educational qualifications like? And your last drawn salary?

Nus, 2nd upper. Funny thing is last drawn is same as offered without increment. Not sure if getting lowballed here lol though bonuses obtained in CS would be an increment in itself.

CS looks at whole package when it comes to salary. When you say relevant exp, do you mean relevant to your degree or the the exp you have in your previous job is directly relevant to the cs job? In any case tbh, 2 years exp is not much and is still considered entry. There must be a reason you are thinking of changing your job and it is pretty much employers' market now.

you should def try to nego. company won't retract the offer just cos you nego. and even if it's a no, you can prime the company or have a conversation about how if you perform at a certain level, you hope to work towards a certain increment within a certain timeline.
btw if anyone is job searching, check out this giveaway for chicha bbt and cash: talenttribe.asia/campaigns/national-day
