i earned around 6.5K as a MX11 when i was 35. So 6.5 x 16 = 104K in a year back then.

easily achievable provided they get a grade B every year, don't screw up and are on degree track.

Hello everyone, current progression looks like this:

2011: MX13 (Joined CS) (Age 26: Gross 3600)
2012: MX 12
2013: MX 12
2014: MX 12
2015: MX 11
2016: MX 11
2017: MX 11A
2018: MX 11A
2019: MX 11 A
2020: MX 10 (Age 35: Gross 9200)

Current age 35. Thinking if I should take on another career or carry on with current job. Not sure of CEP and if can hit MX9. Any advice from kind souls on the progression of the career so far?

U mus be damn high CEP one. Better stay put in civil service. Am sure will be smooth sailing for u at the top.

Speaking of CEP, how do we rationalise the current changes in the system?

Can I check what was your mx11a salary in 2019? Is the promotion increment to mx10 significant?

Advice needed

Hello all.

I am in need of advice on my current situation.
TIA TO ALL THE KIND SOULS IF U CAN HELP

So right now I am in a SB drawing 4k (3rd party agency to SB tag)
And I got offered 3.7k (mx 12) in a ministry (direct 2 yr contract offered)

Only got 3 years exp. Pass degree and no ns. Currently 24

If you were me. Will you take the direct ministry offer at at 20% paycut (cause Haven count in allowance all these) and the pay offered is the lowest end of the range

Will direct contract always be better than 3rd party.
Pay in place of prospect or?

The new ministry role gonna be a whole new industry for me also.
I'm confused. What to do. Should I take the plunge and go for the pay cut to have more prospect

Never take a pay cut. Your value to your next job is determined by the salary of your previous job. If you get a cut now, is like taking many steps back in your career. Maybe you only get back the same pay after 2 Annual increment cycle. Must think long term. SB bonus and Ministry are comparable so no reason for a cut.

If you don't like your job, I would advise you to keep searching. Don't change your job out of emotion and take a lower pay job.
