You should just stay on in 6+k job. Although not everything is about money but in this case is 1 to 2k difference. Private is unstable now but there is no need to worry too much on things that have not happened yet.

Ohhh... Will l be offered lower than what Iím currently earning at private sector? Iím having a dilemma if I were to take a same pay or even pay cut, is it even good to take on the offer?

Same. I applied for sgunited job also
Guess they will lowball me as what the other poster say above.
Processing rate is so damn slow

If you are not even sure if the retrenchment is coming, might not need to resign so quickly. Suggest to stay on. The paycut is deep in my opinion.

Agree, the wait is dreadful! Have you gotten a conditional offer and waiting for clearance? Was told by HR it will take about 1 month..

Is it possible to have a change in title but not a change in salary grade ? Also, suppose there is a change in salary grade, is it possible to have no change to the salary or only marginal change in salary ? Thanks.
