Non-local degree here. This is false.

If your last drawn is above 3.5K, all stat board will NEVER pay you below your last drawn salary unless you’re applying for a position where the MX grade salary range is way below your last drawn.

How long does it take to promote from MX12 to MX11 on average (years in service excluding NS)? I will be in service for 6 years next April and am feeling discouraged as I do not smell a promotion coming up. Performance is constant C+. 2nd upper local uni grad here.

its true that SB will likely at minimally match ur last drawn.
but they match based on annual, not monthly.

if your last company is a 4 * 13 mths... they can easily offer u 3.5 * 15.5

Seems a bit long for you. Constant C+ is actually good. I got a 2nd lower overseas degree and became MX11 this year (joined 2017 as MX13).

4.8xk now. Started at 3.6k in 2017 (yes i know it is very slow and little increment compared to others).

In my early 30s now, took a longer path in my education journey, was a rebellious student in the past.

Whatever the MX is, I get lots of criticism from family and some friends that this is ridiculous increment as some in private get 500-1000+ increment a year early in their career.

Slow and steady wins the race! Outside can increase very fast, but once you reach certain age and level, you will be prone to retrenchment whenever the economy sours...
