beware of hidden company policy when resigning..
Hi all, recently i resigned where my last day ended up on non-weekday after the notice period. However, i was told that due to company policy, my last day MUST be on weekday. I asked to show me the policy but they are unable to. Due to this, i'm "forced" to change my last day.
To everyone out there, please be aware of your company's policy before resigning.

Are you working in a SME? Never heard of such nonsense policy. I always calculate to put my last day on a Sunday to minimize my notice period. That means I earn 2 days as Friday is the last official day.

Im working in a mnc. Im also surprised they have such policy and no1 is able to show me the official writing of such policy. They just verbally said it and force me to change. Even contract did not state such thing.

This should be the least of your concern if you are leaving and should try to leave the company on a good note. Not good to burn bridges over such trivial matter.
