Hiya
am curious too, is there a difference in payment structure/leave etc between acad and non-acad staff? would anyone have any idea? what i heard previously was that acad staff usually have better remuneration than non-acad staff.

I gotten a “Good” rating.
Bonus 1.75ish
Increment 4%
Is Good a C?
It’s quite sad if they give me C despite me doing way more than what I should be doing 🤨

Hi Folks,
Is it really unfair to expect a decent lifestyle for a family of 3 with poly lecture salary ? To me it looks difficult, but want to hear from your experiences if it gets better with some years spent in lecture role climbing up the ladder. Seems like I made a mistake by leaving my industry job to join poly.

family of 3 means your spouse and a kid right?
how is your annual compensation like? i do agree that the pay won't be fantastic, but i guess it will be more stable?

Thanks for your comments. Yeah have some 4-5 yr of experience and family of 3. Agree that it will be stable once cross past the contract phase. Had to take a 5% pay cut on joining Poly.
Btw, what are additional benefits of poly , like corporate pass , memberships etc? I didn’t get to ask this with HR so not really sure. But heard that stat board has certain additional benefits.
