Attended an interview today. Was told that emplaced into permanent establishment is only for Director and DD and that will take at least 5-6 years if I join as AD/DD.

Is this true for other polytechnics? I am concerned because the centre has P&L responsibility and who knows if centre can get funding 10 years later

I posted above. I can understand at AD,DD level, they may be looking for someone with CEP of director who can lead for next 5-10 years and succession planning. But most public agencies convert to perm after six months, 1 year or 2 years probation, never heard of need to be director then can be permanent.

can I ask if anyone knows what is the equivalent IPS grade for a senior manager in stat board with Grade 8?

Assistant Director is what grade? IPS9 or 10?
Deputy director is IPS 11?
