Not too sure about engineer, but back office really earns more than engineer? Anyone can shed some light or bring some evidence?

Any senior engineers willing to share their pay here?

backoffice guy here btw, nothing against engineers just trying to know if its true lol.

Depends on what kind of engineer. Just like how banking is divided in front and back office, engineers also command very different pay.

A software engineer or chemical engineer can easily earn more than a bank back office employee.

The highest paid engineers out there are the specialist type, like nanotech engineer, subtaranean engineer, metallurgy engineer etc.

Many of them with 8-10 years exp can easily make >$500k a year. The problem with SG is we have lots of low level general engineers but harldly any specialist engineers.

that's a pretty good overall package if you include the bonus. however, for the next 15 years you will need to ensure there is a clear path for promotion and increment and ensure you are not easily replaceable.
