What makes IT in Singapore unique?
Hi,
I'm doing research on IT in Singapore, and I thought this forum would be a good place to ask one quick question. Any help would be much appreciated.
Basically, I'm trying to find out if there are any unique things about Singapore from an IT perspective. Specifically, if I were shopping around for an ERP system (or any large IT investment) in Singapore, are there any considerations that would be a factor in Singapore that perhaps would not be relevant elsewhere?
For example, is there a skills shortage/surplus for ERP implementers in Singapore? Are there any specific local laws or ordinances that would affect choosing an ERP system in Singapore? Or is there anything about Singapore's small size coupled with vibrant economy that might influence buying corporate IT systems?
I'm trying to get an impression of the local IT market - there seems to be a lot of experience on this forum and I was hoping I could get a few short answers of what I should consider.
Many thanks
