Document Specialist/Preparation

Hi,

recently got offered a role within a global bank for document preparation within the legal team.

based on the job scope it will be largely related to corporate banking (ie facility letters etc).

I was wondering what's the prospect of the opportunity. I'm actually keen to do or move into compliance.

Yea, but surely a little common sense will tell you the obvious? What prospect do you want from generating loan letters in a bank? Seems to me you should already know the answer but hoping somebody will tell you otherwise.

though i agree with others this admin role is dead end, you can consider if ur currently unemployed and academics not good. having a job is always better for future nego compare to jobless.

I got an offer from a European bank for KYC as well for 4.9k, worked in another bank on the trade management side for 1+ year. Is this a fair & standard rate?

Thanks for the info.

Thats why I am worried. Inititally I ask for 5.5k, but somehow the offer was only 4.9k which is just $100 more than what I am drawing now.

Seems like I need to negotiate with the recruiter first.

How much is your bonus? Total package is it higher for the new offer?

My current bonus is ~5 months, the new bank also indicate their bonus is 4-5 months subject to the usual performance criteria. So annual package works out to be a slight increase.

Anyway I went back to the recruiter to renegotiate and she managed to get a 5.3k offer which I accepted verbally and will be going down to sign once they complete all the checks and prepare the letter.

Thanks to all for your feedback.

This is my first KYC offer as well, now working in TM side. Based on the interview with the hiring manager, it sounds to me quite the standard description like research & analyze client data, submit investigation reports, work with risk management side to assess risk and advise internal controls etc.
