Last time, COE also reached $2 during financial crisis. So $25k COE is very possible as economy is heading south now - people over-leveraged with properties, expensive cars will lose jobs in downturn. They will no choice but to lelong their assets. The economic cycle will just repeat again and again as history has shown in 1985/86, 1997/98, 2008/09.

I just sit back and see what gonna to happen in 2016/2017 - no rush for me. Very cheap lelong sale coming soon... it only happens once in a decade.
I agree, I have sold my 2010 toyota altis for 60k, and still made a small profit. I am now using Uber to get around, super easy and 99% availability.
I also sold my condo last year bought 2009 with 50% profit.

Now sitting on a pile of cash, waiting for blood in the street, probably in 2017 onwards to pick up cheap assets again. Meanwhile enjoy cheap rental, cheap airbnb for holiday ... Sibeh song huat ah

Congratulations. You own a condo and a car. You are already the top 10% household in Singapore. You can retire anytime now as you just cross the 50 mark.

Do plan to enjoy your retirement funds and don't work to death.

Based on projection, you will be there too. Just make sure you double your annual salary by mid 30s.

When to retire? It all depends on your retirement plan. If you plan to retire simply and humbly, you can retire any time. If you want to retire in luxury, you have to work for another 25 years until you're 75. It's your choice.

Another option is to retire overseas in a cheaper location. Many people already doing this.

Since you are fond of profanity, we will play along....

Only people with short d*cks don't like to compare. Hard truth.
People with normal or longer ones are ok.

Similarly, if you are on the lower end of the salary or wealth scale, it's ok. You are welcome to read the posts. If you feel inferior, please feel free to slunk back to edmw where you crawled from....... Lol
