COE prices have gone down. My family planning to change to a new car. Cat B COE was $96k in 2013. Now it is only $60k plus. We are looking at a European car since COE is now cheaper. Huat Ah!

Our family has 4 cars. Luckily we have many car park lots as many units are owned by investors who just keep their units empty. LOL. Those condos with car park problems are the low end OCR condos where the average locals live. LOL.

But the situation now is that if you don't own a car you lose face. Lose face to relatives, colleagues and neighbors. Very sad. Used to be that owning a car was a status symbol, now owning a car is just to keep pace with others. So in order to be a little ahead of others, many are owning 2 cars. This is giving people like me who are in condo MCSTs a big headache in allocating limited carpark lots.

I have a resident who purposely bought a second car to chop a lot. He seldom drive that BM coupe, driving only on weekends. He did it just because another resident has 2 cars and was asking for the extra lots. Some more our condo is right next to an MRT station!

I don't know about the situation in HDB car parks, but I can only guess it will be just as bad.

Congrats to you for changing your ride with cheaper COE at $60k plus.

I think you can further change again when it hits $30k plus within a years time.

Huat huat ah!

You are very cartoon (read idiotic). It is very clear you dont know about condo living. let me educate you.

We all know condo without many cars or with many empty lots mean that the owners could not afford to own cars after buying the condo. Also the tenants the condo attract cannot make it kind. Cannot afford to have cars type.

Condos in CCR, RCR usually come with only 1 lot per household, and sometimes they dont even have enough for all the residents.

We are very happy with fools. Fools (especially those with 4 cars) and their money are soon parted.

Glad to see COE prices falling. If Cat B drops to $30k, I will buy a new luxury conti car instead of an Asian luxury car. I have another 6 months to wait when my current COE expires. This would be good news for us.

Yes, please decide on your color for the new luxury conti car. The Cat B will come down $30k sooner than you thought. Enjoy your car shopping experience
