Wow, so you are saying in 1 year, it would be $330k (12 months + 18 months bonus)
Considering there are 168 hours a week and you work more than >100 hours a week, that leaves you less than 65 hours a week at your swanky $3k/month place.

You enjoy life? (PS: not being sarcastic, was thinking of a career in IB after graduation next year)

suppose you work 42 weeks a year. at $330k for 4,200 hours of labour, you are paid around $78/hr. my moe-trained tuition teacher gf makes more than you if we were to compare this way. but of course, it isn't a fair comparison, cos by the time you become MD, you will make more than a minister and 10 tuition teachers combined.

wishing you the best!

Then again, you can't compare it this way. You won't be able to work that many hours as a tutor even if you were willing to.

Also, don't forget that for every year you have 18-month bonus, there will be a year with zero bonus and until you become famous, job is very unstable, especially if you get your calls/analysis wrong.
