Why should there be a glass ceiling for women at this day and age?
What profession are you in? We already have women ministers and many women are heading big corporations.
I think it very unfair that women always claimed discrimination, glass ceiling blah blah whenever they couldnt get what they want, but never see their own limitations.

You both doing very well. We're 46, 47 respectively, earning only $155k pa combined. Our condo still have loan of $400k, now worth $1m. Using CPF to finance our mortgage. Just bought a new car. No maid, we do our household chores ourselves.

I'm 30 and my wife's 28.
I'm earning about 150k/yr (all in) and my wife about 50k/yr (all in).
We stay in a 5rm HDB, with about $200k mortgage left. HDB's worth about $520k based on recent valuation.
Both of us have a car each for work purpose, mine's fully paid up and hers still some years to go. We'll stay in our HDB (nicely renovated) for at least 10-15 more years. Aiming to buy our first commercial property next year.

You would have no problem upgrading to a condo. Since you have no car and maid, you can save a lot of money. If you lead a humble and simple life, you can save $50k pa. In 10 years, you can save $500k. This is enough as downpayment for a condo. You would also made a profit from selling your BTO flat for you to buy a car.

42, 43 working couple. Total salary (both) amounts to $120k pa. 10 year old condominium unit, paid up. No maid and no car as these are very costly for a middle income household like us. Save $40k pa. We aim to save $1m over the next 25 years. Current net worth, $1.4m in total.

I don't think you wrote out your job description accurately.
