With your salary, you can aim to save and invest 100K per year. Within 10 years, you should have more than 1mil, you are doing quite well and can look forward to fire as well

You are already outperforming many local grads and even more against other private grads.
If you continue this progression, you should be able to retire earlier than most

Quite shock to hear people earning $60k to $200k per annum package at 25 to 39 years old. I am 35 and most of my peers at earning $200k+ per annum. Half of them are managerial position.

We plan to retire in Penang or KL. We have relatives and friends in Malaysia. Our fully paid SG condo can be rented out for SGD 4k pm (MYR 13k pm). This passive income is sufficient for two of us. Renting a nice, new condo in Penang or KL costs only MYR 2k pm.
At 65, our CPF Life will give us SGD 5k pm. So our passive income will be SGD 9k pm (MYR 30k pm). With this amount of passive income, we can travel the world and retire like a billionaire in Malaysia.

Brilliant retirement plan. MYR 30k pm is like the earnings of a very rich couple in Malaysia. You can travel first class every few months.

It is not shocking that there are many people at that age group earning below 200kpa.
You can download the gross monthly income from the above link to understand that majority (>90%) of these age group range earning below 200kpa.
It is just your circle of friends is earning higher income.

My annual pay is about S$125k now. Used to be max S$150k. And I work as a GP Dr. Lower than most Drs my age because I didn't specialise and I work fewer hrs.
But my networth is greatly increased by our property investments through the years.
