Engineering provides good rigorous training and skills for a variety of careers. The idea is to get an engineering degree with good honors, but do not stay in an engineering job or pursue an engineering career if you want big money.

Even if what you boast of is true... you are just an outlier among the statistics for engineering graduates... How many engineers can earn 480k a year?? Most engineers can't even smell 100k a year... Pathetic...

There are many engineers getting 150-200 k per annum. You just need to be in the right company/industry.....working for Oil majors.... but you need more than 10 yrs exp to get there

Well done. I'm sure not all sales can be like yourself. Based on your observation, how many % of RMs in a cohort can make it to your level? How many will remain mediocre? Will all make at least 100k after a few years?

Have been very loyal, as the company is looking after me well. However, there are people in sales and marketing, banking who draws this kind of package easily too. Personally do not believe that jumping ship every few years to get some increment will work out in the long run.
Btw, i am in engineering .....oil and gas though with first class hons
