You need to widen your network, 100K pa is considered quite average only. These workers are the lower rungs of their companies, they are not busy all the time

Some small minded people toil all day for even lower salary so they expect people earning more to be at least as occupied throughout the day. Really laughable.

But you are old. At least 40s. Your youth is already gone.

Further discussion on how to live your life is meaningless because you have already lived about half of it and it’s not like anything we say here can change your 20s and 30s.

35f here. S$200k compensation per annum.

Save approx 30% of salary. 15% goes to parents. 20% goes to government. 5% goes to charity. Started with S$700 a month 10 years ago, so still live very frugally.

Have a kid. Owns a condo, but rented out. Live with parents. Sole breadwinner. Have house husband. About S$1m in savings and investments, but some days really suck still. Everyday think of quitting, but can't cause need to support family. :']

$1m is already good. Money is never enough. Just be happy with simplicity.

20% you are counting both tax and cpf?

How do you feel about being sole breadwinner?

Thank you. I do live simply. But perhaps of what I've been through before, I get anxiety knowing that things like wealth and status is fleeting and everything can also be gone in a minute.

This constant pursuit is nuts.
