if you have nothing then you jolly well just do your job. whatever **** it is, just do it if not you cannot survive in singapore. theres the fate of the poor. actually there is nothing wrong with working. as long it is an honest leaving and you work within the systems of the corporate world.
even if you are rich, also find something to do, if not you will be brain dead.
if you are ultra rich, i suppose you will try to change the world. since there is nothing you need anymore, you already married to a beautiful wife. cars, houses, toys, travels. all done. you only want to change the world.

Life in this temporary world is short. What is your legacy? Have you made a real difference to the world? Have you lifted the poor, old and needy beyond just donating a few dollars to make you feel less guilty? Have you been involved in charity projects? Are you contented in living in your own selfish world, enjoying the luxuries of life while others are suffering and hungry?
Life is not all about material wealth but the wealth of the soul. A beautiful soul which cares about humanity and not a soul who cares just about his ownself and his family. A soul which cares about the plight of the less fortunate all over the world.
Do not be obsessed with the worldly wealth and accumulating wealth. Most of us have enough if we curb our unnecessary wants.
Seek happiness through making the poor, needy, old, handicapped, orphans and less fortunate happy. This is true happiness.

This is absolutely true. As Singaporeans, we are very fortunate to be able to buy cheap BTO flats. We must be happy and grateful. All of us who works hard, clear our BTO flat mortgage and grow our CPF Special Account will have a good chance of retiring well. If we retire in neighbouring countries, we can retire in bungalows and driving cars! We are very lucky. So, be happy. Don't worry. Don't waste your money on gambling, drinking, womanising, partying and overspending.

When you got married, buy a HDB BTO flat. This is a highly subsidised public housing programme, the best in the world. It is a no brainier to buy a BTO flat because the price is lower than the resale flats around the vicinity. Which means you already make money from Day 1 when you got your keys. After 5 years MOP, you can sell at a profit and use it as down payment for a private condominium. Or you can just stay there and clear your mortgage fast. With no mortgage, you can sleep peacefully at night.
For CPF Life, you should target for the Enhanced CPF Life scheme as it gives the highest payout at 65. Keeping money in CPF is the best risk free investment. Don't try to get rich quick by putting your hard earned money into scam schemes which promise high returns. Don't be scammed.
When you retire, you can rent out your empty rooms, for $800 per room. So, for two rooms, you get $1600 pm. Your CPF Life will give you $3600 pm for a retired couple, so in total your passive income will be $5200 pm. If you live humbly, eating hawker food and don't own a car, this amount of passive income is very good.
If you want to live in luxury, living in a bungalow and drive a car, you can retire overseas. Rent out your flat for $2500 pm and plus your CPF Life payment of $3600, you get $6100 pm. Convert to RM and you get RM17k pm. You can rent a bungalow and drive a big car in Malaysia with this income. With spare change to travel the world.

COE prices will continue to go up. Those people who got retrenched can now buy a new car and set up their own business as private car hire drivers. Retirees can also do the same. Buy new car and use for business, family and leisure.
If you are waiting to buy new car, don't wait. COE will only rise higher. Buy your new car now.
Don't listen to the stupid guy who said COE will go down to $10k. It will not even touch $30k. The lowest it touched was $38k and that will be the lowest point for the next 20 years.
