How old are you? How much do you earn per annum?

Dun compare and complain, in first place everyone's calibre is different and every job's demands and mental emphasis is different. We are in a meritocratic society where the best (in societal definition) gets rewarded higher. We HAVE to acknowledge that not all are equal and as long as we give off our best max our potential. And be at rest. Then we would be satisfied despite an average pay

Just jump. Then u can expect 20% immediately. Unless u are a top performer in ur current coy, if not don't expect more than 5% increment per year.

i am with a US MNC for 20 years now. My only regret is I should have jumped companies a couple of times. life was too comfortable then. while i watch my university peers get 20% per jump, i can only get 3% increment each year. lesson learnt for the younger generations.

i am 29
My salary increment is a mere 2.8k now. I used to have 2.7k, then 2.5k and 2.4k.
minimal increments only after changing jobs.

my brother is 28
My brother has 4.5k now, past jobs were 4k and 3.3k

If you have a valuable skill set, employers will pay for you. Try to upgrade yourself, go for public speaking courses/ improve your presentation skills. Do a MBA or CFA if you are in banking. Many ways to increase your salary, but the bottom line is that you have to generate more revenue for your employer. If not, why would they pay you more? They can just hire any diploma holder to replace u.

Early 50s, ex corporate executive. Currently semi retired. Made my fortune and now taking a more relaxed pace of life. Spend my time helping small companies to grow. More flexible working schedule. No more jet setting, so tired.

Happier now, more time to smell the roses, more time with family and old parents. I'm fortunate cos I've grown my wealth to a comfortable amount. I can totally retire if I want to.
