Dun compare and complain, in first place everyone's calibre is different and every job's demands and mental emphasis is different. We are in a meritocratic society where the best (in societal definition) gets rewarded higher. We HAVE to acknowledge that not all are equal and as long as we give off our best max our potential. And be at rest. Then we would be satisfied despite an average pay

i am with a US MNC for 20 years now. My only regret is I should have jumped companies a couple of times. life was too comfortable then. while i watch my university peers get 20% per jump, i can only get 3% increment each year. lesson learnt for the younger generations.

Early 50s, ex corporate executive. Currently semi retired. Made my fortune and now taking a more relaxed pace of life. Spend my time helping small companies to grow. More flexible working schedule. No more jet setting, so tired.
Happier now, more time to smell the roses, more time with family and old parents. I'm fortunate cos I've grown my wealth to a comfortable amount. I can totally retire if I want to. |
