Chill what's the point of all these defensiveness or indignance? Whatever people perceive - factually or otherwise, those who are knowledgeable or wise will be. Those who lack, no lengthy discussion nor explanation and teachings will get through them.
End day, what's the value of endless arguing? Also don't care how people think la!!

The high class people are those bankers and top executives who are already retired in their late 40s or early 50s. Not us here in this forum who are still struggling at work in our 50s and 60s. We should have studied harder in school to be like these successful people.

Why are you all so greedy about money? We will all die and all the money we have will not follow us to the grave. No point working so hard only to die before we enjoy a good retirement.
We all plan for retirement thinking we will die in our 90s. How many people actually live that long. We read in the news of people dying in their 50s or 60s, some even die in their 30s or 40s.
If you have enough, just retire and enjoy life. I will not want to work into my 60s. I will work for another few years and once I have enough and my children are independent, I will retire and pursue the more meaningful things in my remaining short life.
Always remember death. It can come any time. If you have wronged anyone or cause someone to suffer through your office politicking, make peace before it is too late.

Me and wife 45 this year. Fully paid condo and new car. CPF+cash+ins $1.5M.
HH income about $0.3M.
Interestingly we don't feel the urge to retire yet. Why let go of the income streams?

You should find a wife. You will be alone and lonely one day. That's a miserable life. There are many single women. Be a true man. Go marry one of them.
