Are you an idiot? You are the one who is always equating living in a condo with class right? Live in condo means upper class? Crazy! There are many who can easily afford 2-3 condos or who actually owns several properties but chose to stay in hdb. So does this mean they are lower class? Let me give you an advice. You can't buy class! Doesn't mean that you stay in condo means you are high class. You must be one of those cannot make it fellow who bought a cheap condo and go around looking down on others. Go get a life! Shallow fellow!

Well said! Tat guy is a joke! I showed my friends his posts about him saying pple living in condo are high class and we all had a good laugh! Most of us live in condo but we do not think ourselves as "high class". Muz be an old guy fellow from the last generation. Long long time ago, pple used to think living in condo is high class. But nowadays, any tom dick or harry can afford a condo.

You guys are really dense. Can't you tell he was being sarcastic?

It's like a guy driving a 3.5litre Merz telling the motorcyclist who hogs the road: "Wah, your motorcycle big ah!"

You are the idiot! I've lived in condo all my life, since I was born. I just can't stand this guy keep saying pple living in condo are high class. It's is exactly this kind of attitude that causes division in our society. Having class doesn't mean having material wealth, it has also to do with how you live your live and how you treat others. Really high class people will not go around equating their wealth to class. People can judge by themselves. And like I said, you can't buy class. If you think I am a loser so be it! I don't lose sleep over your comment.

Very immature, the whole lot of you. Cannot debate an issue objectively and without resorting to degratory remarks and insults.

The crux of the matter as I see it is that people here equate (rather confused) class to income. As I have highlighted in my earlier post (#9565), class in European countries refers more to your lineage than income. Upper class people in European countries are the royalties and noblemen. You may earn a high income, but that doesn't make you high class.

Here, in Singapore, we should really be just talking about income class. So correct terms to use are lower income class, middle income class and upper income class.

The bulk of working Singaporeans fall into middle income class which is the broadest class. Anyone earning between $3k pm to $30k pm would be considered middle income. Of course there could be subdivision within this class such as lower middle income, middle middle income and upper middle income.

And yes, please do not confused people with high income to be high class people. Especially in Singapore!
