I see alot of HH where the wives are earning more than the husbands. Is this a growing trend?

Please cherish your young children. They are priceless. Don't be a stupid fool to chase that extra dollar at the expense of your time, care, love and attention. Kids need their parents' presence and not their presents.

Those idiots who are slaving for high salaries and neglecting their children ought to be ashame of temselves. Why worship monies n pander to endless meetings and deadlines? Most probably they are have big financial commitments n have big debts to clear which funded their so-called pseudo rich status.

Let's get this straight. Live a life within or better still below your means, stay debt free (dont listen to those fools who said there is good debt, a debt is a debt simple as that), take care of your elders n loved ones n be happy always, no matter what happen.

Remember. A job can be replaced easily but a broken family can never be replaced.

My wife earns more. We are in our mid forties. My income $82k pa. Her income $105k pa. she saves more and I save less. We share our HH expenses equally. We share our condo mortgage equally. I pay for the car loan, petrol and related expenses, she pays for the groceries and food expenses.

That's a decent annual salary close to $200k... May I ask if your job is stressful?

That's good to hear

For us, we are in our late forties. Filed close to $500k last FY. but stress like mad. Feels like downgrading to $100k-$200k job.

As an outsider, I can see your struggle whether to give up HH $500k pa income for less. It will be a major adjustment to your life style.
