I know of people working in a place where they test electronic/electrical gadgets for emitted radiation somewhere in the Western part of Singapore.

Heard from one of the staffs that most guys over there have daughters, not sons.

I share HDB with another family. And at the end of month I have very little to save.

We are so called FTs. We think we are big losers.

Of course we are very frustrated. But we don't have many options open.
You are just very lucky to be in Singapore.

If you find that Singapore shortchanges you, please go back from where you came from. I believe that are not many opportunities in your home country.

Some fresh graduates cannot even find decent work and have to settle for much less. The correct term would be "underemployment". It is worst than "unemployment".

Ok, seriously, if you are really talented, you wouldn't be making so little.
Agree. With all the opportunities heap upon him.

I'm not being racist here but let me make a guess. You sound like an Indian national to me.
If my guess is correct, then perhaps the "top universities" which you are refering to may just be applied in the India sub-continent. I would suggest you to suppress your typical indian ego-out-from-nothing and explore outside your circle of awareness. Hopefully, you will get awake from perceving yourselves as being the "best" when you truly meet the best from MITs or any other Ivies.

The guy mite have sounded a bit arrogant but you are no better. Just like he thinks he is from a top Indian school, u think anyone from MIT or IVY League is the best. You also come as a person who detests tops schools in India. Many graduate students in top US schools are from these univs. So learn to give credit when its due. No need to blast India or China unnecessarily. Most scientific people come from these countries, although Singapore is not the place for such people. Its more suitable for IVY Leage grads who want to work in finance n management and buy cars and condos.

Although Singapore kinda sucks for IT and RnD, if he was really that good, he could always go to a better place like US, Europe, Japan, Korea where people with his experience can easily earn around 100k USD.

The catch with Singapore is that u can get stuck in the wrong area. Clearly , if someone is very good, he shd be getting 100k SGD +. If not , he is not good enough.

Both of you are delusional.
