I think there are many guys like him. You can find them in forums such as below
SG Talk - Market Talk
I won't be too quick to pass judgement on him, indeed there are many who lost their jobs in their 40s and 50s. You could be next.

How many people on this forum can apply that logic and reach that goal so easily? Some of us have obligations which he may not have, some of us may be in the good fortune of not being in the same shitty job he had so why should we follow?
Although I too work its not for a living, my investable net worth (mainly inheritance, yes I beh pai seh about it) is about 10M (excluding residence), Should I keep posting about how I enjoy my life to feel good about myself or actually share experiences on how to generate wealth to actually benefit people???
People are just tired of reading the same bs over and over, he seems like a poor dude made good which is damn pei fu at first, but his thick skin got in the way so now no respect.
If you are reading this, go and do more charity work please and stop regurgitating yourself like broken record. Then you donate like 5 Million to some Ren Ci foundation and put your name BIG BIG on the board so everyone can see. Then come here and boast to us about it and where to find your BIG BIG name. By then even Lim Pei will Salute you! Okay?

Combined couple income, $240k pa. Live in a 3 room HDB flat, no more loan. We love living in a small HDB flat as we enjoy the many rebates and we pay low property taxes. Hence we can afford to own a big luxury German car. Our cash savings is now $2m. We hope to retire in 5 years time when we reach 55. We will retire in Penang to take care of our elderly parents. With $2m, we can convert to get RM5.2m, more than enough to retire there.
