It depends on other benefits. as the employer will provide accommodation and utilities and I have 2 school kids, it seems that 7-8000 S$ would be sufficient (gross salary). But I'm not sure what would be the tax and will they pay so much.

about the same for me (age 36, work in IT, $200K a year, paid up terrace house and car), but now focusing more of enyoing family time with wife and kids instead of working so hard
