and the grade A/B/C which is given is dependent on whether the boss like you or not, and is not really how "hardworking or effort you put in".....

I am hard working and always burn OT/weekend/CNY/christmas to meet date line and ended up get CCCC for 4 years.....whilst my another friend in another dept in the same coy, spend 70% of time surfing net and get B consecutively. Moreover, he got about 1.5mth more bonus every year because he got a B than C. Also he got promoted faster and also his "B" promotion increment is 2% more than "C" promotion increment...etc.....

About $700k per year

Stay in 3RM HDB in the north. Fully paid...other property investments overseas

Various investment. Basically, give loan to pple, manage online games of chance, go around the country visiting coffee shops. Money is good, and tax free....haha

One investment condo worth $700k, 60% loan.

wow so many of the forummers here own landed property.

as a 22 year old, i aspire to own one too in the future.

i really don't wish to stay in some super expensive 99 year box in the sky.

My parents own landed property. We stayed in nice houses and moved place a few times. However I grew up with leaky roofs, lightning strikes causing power outages, many mosquito bites, plenty of lizards and cockroaches. Fight with the fungus and weeds in the garden during weekly gardening. Yes there is more space, but had to walk very far from the nearest bus stop to my house (15 min uphill in hot sun daily). Not so fun.

When I got and job and started working, I know that I will never want to manage a house. Enough leaky roofs. I bought a freehold condo to stay in, and am very happy here

If I buy a landed, it would be for investment and not own stay.

If you are a Singaporean, you should buy a landed property. Foreigners cannot buy landed property. Dont be stupid to buy an expensive box in the sky. Ths supply of landed properties is shrinking rapidly every year while demand is rising up fast.

A landed property gives you very high social status and only about 5% of Singaporeans live in a landed property. You can build a swimming pool, a big fish pond and a nice garden.

Landed property in Singapore is very undervalued, esp the ones in the west of Singapore.

There are still cheap landed properties in the Jurong area (CORPORATION and WESTWOOD landed estates) which are still selling at less than S$2mil. These will definitely rise to above S$2mil when the Jurong Lake District is developed in the next 5-8 years. Currently, not many are in the market and these get quickly snapped up and prices are moving higher and higher.
