Contrary to popular belief, the salary of a teacher/HOD wallows beneath murky waters. In this sector, your position need not necessarily translate into dollars and cents. A teacher without portfolio could very well be raking more than a HOD. The titles are but mere words of fancy. Hence, a blatantly increasing trend has emerged - articulate & passionate teachers are leaving the service for greener pastures that amalgamate passion with monetary benefits. Such is the irony of the system.

Need info on salary
Hi everyone,
I am from India, I am going to get an offer as Sr. software engineer in one of Singapore company. I have 7 years exp in IT. They are offering me S$ 66K per annum. Will it be sufficient for family (I and my wife) if we stay in single bed room flat? If I want to save at least 3000 Singapore Dollars how much should I ask?
Thank you
mvjr
