I live in west, the air quality is comparatively worse than that in east coast.
Cant imagine how air like in jurong island.
There was a major explosion in one of the plants last year that the plant needs to shut down for weeks for evalution.
For such occupational hazards, no wonder chemical engineers are paid more.

Well, as I said bonus is that I keep my job and live to fight another year

3-4 months is good enough. Saving every bit of it. Never know what is going to happen!

Look at rbs, they are selling off equities business to cimb.

Only bright spot in equities is prime brokerage.

Other business is still okay like fx, rates and commodities - bonus is still decent but not 2-3yrs of base in pre financial crisis

Yeah man.. So much EMF radiation when i stand near to the rotating machine turbine in he process plant.. all the hair on my arms and on the back of my neck can stand... Cannot imagine if the radiation will kill all my sperm anot... Later.. all my children come out... All become like X-men.. Can shoot lazer beam from the eyes...
Frankly, it is not a very good working environment for the health conscious.... Maybe more suitable for the ignorant and garang fool who tinks that their body is invincible..

Yeah i was just wondering.. so its something like a hazard compensation.

Also, to comment on the bonus.. it is still common to get 2-3 yrs bonus if u are producing. but not in european/us names.

usually its 5% to 10% of what u make. this yr one local paid 7%. so if u made 20 bucks u are up one condo in cash.

Payout in ib at most 5% of pnl these days. which local bank spoil market by paying 7%? anyway, local banks do not have the franchise to command big flows nor the risk appetite to run or warehouse positions, so even 7% payout, the absolute amount will still lose out to top tier banks.
Yes, a condo a year is achievable and many early retirees from banks are living off the rentals

out of the 3, 2 have large risk limits.. and those 2 pay well. 7% is from one of them.. its known. i disagree.. the payouts were relatively fantastic , compared to the average of 0 at alot of the foreign houses.
