These people are blinded by greed and lust. Never enough. They want more power, more status, more money. They suddenly die while working leaving behind children who fight for their wealth.

People who are at the bottom will always say bullshit like this "oh why chase money / power bla bla". Most people are at the top because they genuinely love their job and what they do. Money is just something extra.

You see mark zuckerberg buying 50 lambos and flexing 30-50m houses? you see top CEOs in Singapore buying 100m yachts?

You are poor and stupid, also self-righteous, get over yourself moron. People can live their life however they want, who the fk are you to say otherwise you dumb fk.

Since they're genuinely doing it for passion and money is not that important, why not propose to them to take a paycut to bring up the average salary of the other workers in the company.

It doesn't matter if they keep their money in the bank or buy assets, the end effect is the same. They are doing it at the expense of others who are unable to move up the corporate ladder because they refuse to retire and keep sitting on that position even though they have more than enough to retire comfortably

Because first of all why would they listen to anyone else? they made all that money doing what they do, why would they all of a sudden, listen to some random guy and take a paycut so you thinking that this is even a plausible event is pretty laughable. At most what they would do is put more money towards dept budgets which will naturally increase the salary of the people in those depts for achieving business goals. Giving people money blindly is the fastest way to kill a company.

This makes absolutely 0 sense.

You're basically saying CEO, CTO, and all the top managements who are at the top are preventing lower level employees from reaching it. You are crazy if you think the general lower employees are gunning for these titles... They are not lol

Most of them just want hit management title by 50, get 10-30k SGD a month and hopefully job hop to some easy company with a 9 to 5 and focus on their family / personal hobbies.

CEOs & CTOs naturally don't have very long tenures, I'm not bothered about those. I'm referring to those whom like you said, reach management title by 50, then keep on working forever. Lets be real, they ain't jop hopping at their age, they are most likely staying forever till their late sixties or whatever the govt increases the retirement age to by that time.

There is a director who worked 40 years with the MNC. Retired in Dec22, but just pass away in Jan23. Known cancer few years back already. However don’t know why he didn’t quit, instead chose to work until his death. His children get to inherit his landed property though.

Don't quite understand your logic. Firstly, not many people reach management level not because there's no vacancy, but because they are not qualified. And then after spending 2-3 decades of hard work climbing to the top and achieving success, they somehow are considered selfish and should vacate the position as soon as possible? Then go drive grab to sustain till retirement? Or restart back to manager?
