A bit anxiety? How come guys my age around 30 all doing better. Not sure if I can ever break the 150k pa ranks…
From what you say, sounds like it's very much normal for pay to jump 1k per year?

Like principle engineer?

I am just senior engineer
Earning only 116kpa after bonuses
Feel stagnant already.
According on Google, staff engineer is in between principal engineer and senior engineer. My company uses a different word for “staff”. I’m currently also a senior engineer. My earning is about the same as yours lol. My boss told me he won’t promote me unless I do something technically challenging that impresses him. (Which is very difficult since my boss is extremely talented) So I’m trying hard to read some popular libraries now to contribute to them. Maybe you have to ask your boss what is the promotion criteria.

Im in tech startup. My juniors from uni (SMU, NTU) working MNC 4-5years drawing $6-7k. Is that normal. Am i under paid or are they just paid unusually well? That’s their base
Miss, you are 28 not 55. Is 8k more than sufficient for your daily expenses? Did you invest to have multiple source of income? My base salary is about the same as yours and we are about the same age (though I only have 3+ years working experience). There are many other things to enjoy in life like spending time with your loved ones. All the money in the world can’t return you your youth.

Issue is your variable bonus is low. Your juniors may have a higher bonus that you. If that is the case their overall salary will be higher than you. Make sure you compare across same industry.

I don’t suppose you guys here only compare to those who’re doing worse than you? Like that compare for what, shiok factor meh. Of course always to strive for better what. Healthy competitiveness as long as it doesn’t consume you.

Crazy. Ask one question but no one bother answering honestly, all shoot here shoot there.
Guess that’s what men are all about 🤫
Yes, 105k not incl stock is damn low for your age. Must get at least 150k to be average. Try harder

Wow... seems like most of you in the forum make more than 100k per year.
At 110k per year, you are at the top 16% of income bracket in all tax paying residents in singapore.
If 20% of residents in Singapore don't pay tax due to below 20k/year, it means only 1 person makes more than you in every 12 persons sample size. That's actually a lot. This is an elite forum.

Lay off the sarcasm lol we already know this place is full of fake news and CSB.

Anyone making >100k won't even come to this place. Explain to me why would they? what for? we're all anonymous lol no one knows you're making >100k, no one can prove anything. I can pretend to be you, you can pretend to be me. Even if you really make >100k a year, who cares? u think we'll believe u?

Majority of us are here just to chit chat and call out obvious fake news.

You want some real salary comparison? Go nodeflair, Glassdoor, SG salary reddit and many more places where you know... u can get actual data from real people? verified by mods?

or stay here and read all the CSB

hey btw I make 500k a year, about to retire at 25 years old how am i doing guys?? am i AvErAgE? btw im a girl hehehe Wink Wink!!
