You cannot and shouldn't say that of any old man. What you said is only true for that specific 50 yo guy who admitted he was stressed and I strongly suspect also suffered a "short circuit".
This short circuit manifested itself through posting repetitive stuff. It is a brain dead regurgitation of his last meaningful thought before all went blank.
At this stage, it is not ridicule, insults nor disdain that he needs, but rather some understanding and patience.

Many jealous people, both young and old, in this forum. LOL.
Being jealous is not productive. You should celebrate those who are more successful than you, learn from their experience and work harder.
Making false accusations is not only sinful but reflect badly on one's character and upbringing.

With the high demand for new cars due to easier loan condition, bidding by private car hire, many richer Singaporeans, etc and big drop in COE supply
I think Cat A will rise to $60k in the next bidding and then it will go higher and higher to $75k by end of 2016 ... then go to $90k by 2018
I think Cat B will rise to $62k in the next bidding and then it will go higher and higher to $80k by end of 2016 ... then go to $100k by 2018
Buy now. Don't listen to the fool who said COE prices will drop to $10k. Will never happen.

You dont have much in investment - only $3k, so where is your passive income of $120 per month coming from?

Household family income $175k pa ($14,583 pm)
Household family expenses $130k pa ($10,833 pm)
Household family savings $45k pa ($3,750 pm)
Family residence is a new 3 BR condo, paid up. Current value $1m. We own a two year old small car, paid up.
Since we are debt free, we plan to retire in ten years time at 55. We will draw down on our cash savings to fund our retirement from 55 to 65. At 65, we will receive our CPF Life ($3600 pm or $43k pa) which will fund our retirement from 65 onwards, until we die. Our two children will give us parental allowance of $1k pm in total ($12k pa) ($500 pm from each of them) when we retire at 55, following my family's tradition of filial piety.
Our retirement expenses will not be much as the two of us just need money for food, utilities, condo maintenance fees, public transport and short holidays nearby. The most $3k pm ($36k pa). At age 65, our total passive income $4600 pm ($55k pa).
