glassdoor reviews seem to confirm this also. UOB score the lowest among three local banks.

Haha worked in UOB credit risk side for 2 years before, I don't recommend people go there unless no other choice. Long OT and horrible rank / seniority base culture. Too many oldies there with >10 years service just everyday siam work pass time till retirement.

Default percentage increase?

I put in the expected monthly basic 12k, then HR told me it's way out of budget... not sure if it becomes a deal breaker

noticed from glassdoor there's a big difference for VP salary across different organisation, even across the three major local banks. Thought shall be similar in DBS, OCBC, UOB, but seems DBS is like 20% higher than OCBS which in turn about 20% higher than UOB. UOB's title inflated?

btw, anyone can share on average technical role in UOB got how many months bonus? how is the working culture and work/life balance like? glassdoor review kinda sucks for UOB compared to DBS and OCBC...
i think u missed out one most important part out from ur above post..

what was the percentage% increase u were asking for ur basic salary excluding bonus? it doesnt seem to be 15%-20%..

nobody has got the VP range of the said bank correct.. VP salaries differ widely in all banks (even VP it self has multiple bands of VP)..

so ur question shouldnt be how much should a VP earn, it should be how much percentage increase can they afford..

set a percentage that is within ur range..

So what's the VP range in UOB since you say everyone is wrong?

Percentage increase over basic excluding bonus wouldn't be very reasonable because the bonus structure is quite different.

if purely looking at basic, 17% increase will only make even with my current annual package. To get 15%-20% increase on actual annual pay, basic will have to be increased 35%-58%, which would look quite daunting on first glance.

My wife was a SVP in UOB, having been in UOB for 15 yrs the increment was slow unless there
You are promoted. As VP she was barely doing 10k (2008) and as a SVP her last drawn was $160k per annum (2015) . Now with citibank . Conclusion, you need to move to get a higher rate of increment but that comes with insecurity especially with our local banking scene. Worst is on the way it seems.

SVP on $160k per annum? I assume that's base w/o bonuses, which work out to 13.3k per month. from 10k in 2008, anual increment about 4.2%, not too much really.

Is 160k the all-in comp, or just the base? How much was her all-in comp?
