I believe 160k per annum is all in. I supposed you think too highly of banking industry.

There are different departments VP and all fetch different packages. Are you sure the statement you provide is coming from your knowledge? Or just pure assumption. A lot of the posts did mention that different banks varies a lot and bonus is low too. On what basis do you generalize that most VP in bank earn higher than 160k without bonus. Anyway, banks give exaggerated title.

VPs level in local banks are managers equivalent.
It's not even a director position unlike other industries
Where VPs are senior executives position who easily
Get 200k for a basic salary alone per annum.
The big earners in the bank are those in private banking or
investment banker.
In a nutshell, UOB aint the highest paymaster even within
the local banks. What they offer is stability and security in
Comparison with the off shore banks.
You can smile and sleep at ease when your fellow peers are
losing theirs, especially with the current market sentiments.
BTW, I will accept a 10k offer from UOB as a VP if I was TS.
Sounds reasonable IMHO. Perhaps TS can update us for
Our reference.

If you sign up with jobstreet, they will send you openings of jobs. These links actually states job details including indicative renumeration . I saw a Uob vp posting, not even 10k, where does the 160k or 210k come from ? I also want leh

Agreed on that. Search UOB VP position in job street and appears that all are below 8k per month. SMBC VP seems to be around 9k/month and DBS undisclosed. Seems like there is variations in the salary structure in these banks. UOB VP getting lesser than 8k/month and VP in DBS getting annual of 210k is too huge a difference.

Title is one thing. The department u are in, plays the biggest part if driving your payscale. There's no point comparing a VP in Operations with a VP in Syndications. The disparity is huge.

Just concern about those who have been giving generalization statement to the public that VP in banking industry earning damn high salary 160k annually without bonus / 10k per month is bare minimum etc. This is just purely giving false information without factual data.
