How is life as a doctor in Singapore?

If you enjoy running a business why not open your own clinic and be your own boss . Ive seen a few RPs who left with me who are now clinic owners . This whole mmed concept is really a polyclinic issue . Honestly patients dont care , they just want a caring and empathetic doctor who listens and treats their issues . Its all about patient satisfaction which will bring in moolah as well. You do not need an mmed to make patients happy

In fact , ive realised that some mmed doctors actually have low EQ when talking to patients , some are robotic and not very good listeners

Where got lots of admin for u to do in reality.
U clinic head then lots of admin but u given time.

My junior write medical report I just vet as senior.
I buddy buddy with operations they sometimes pass me single visit
Medical report eg, rta to do. 10 minute finish liao. 55 bucks.
SAG people sometimes rope u in for something.
Trick is to don't commit, send email , ask people to do. One working item can fly around for months.

Maybe once in a while need write some guidelines. Ok la.
Got 2 hour meeting let boss know one whole morning block for u.
Can come in a bit later, drink coffee clear email while wait for meeting to start.

U which clinic or cluster that has blocks. My clinic is dying , blocks always taken away for manpower issue. Block for meeting is only during that time of the meeting, still have to prepare for meeting at OTOT and do post meeting arrows OTOT

Well if it's lower than 200k, it further accentuates the OP point. How much does one value money? To be honest, you could potentially argue that even on 100-150k/year you won't starve in Singapore, but question is always -- is that ENOUGH to keep you satisfied?

Don't need millions la. I just be a salaried employee, see urti and earn 200k/year. I extremely happy liao.

I am happy doing health screening
I earn 14k pm with AWS and PB that is additional
9-5 pm, no weekends/PH
happy sitting in the corporate environment , do PAPs in the morning , evening review results. I have no admin/stress.

If Ur clinic doesn't end at 430 to 5pm then seriously u have to leave that ahem singhea..ahem cluster
