It takes about 10 years to reach con level, another 10 years for SC, whereas for gp don't need to take that long

I know AC base pay is 12k, I guess with add ONS, it can reach 15-16k, then con maybe 20k and SC 25-30k?
More than a salaried gp, but still pales in comparison if one does asthestics?
AC base pay is 8, Con is 10 and SC now cut to 12k

Aesthetics is of course better. There is no comparison at all

alot of pointless comparisons guys...
again... don't just look at the cash, do what you see yourself doing for the foreseeable future
aesthetics is lucrative yes. but will you be happy pandering to all the tai tai requests?
are you ok sleeping at night knowing that you studied so many years of med sch, just to use your knowledge to fire some laser machines at rich ladies who just want to look better?

if you want to compare salary, just go into IT / finance / private equity straight
money there is even better. half a million base + bonuses.

The problem is medical degree is not versatile. Can't do anything other than being a doctor.
Most of us in these forums obviously already studied medicine and kinda regret it/are jaded . We are trying to make a living, hence trying to identify the most profitable option given our circumstances. (I.e best way to make money for people in their 30s with only a medical degree)

Haha
To succeed in Pte equity and finance need drive.

U think walk in the park like med sch?
Or just mindlessly come at 5am and pre clerk patients?

If u have that kind of drive, u cfm will get into the spec of ur wish and will be con by 32 and set up pte shop by 34.

Earn half a mil as a pte shop specialist is easy.

Bottom line. Medicine can be very reimbursed still but u must have the drive.
Dont expect ppl to spoon feed you

I think medicine is very versatile .
You can be tuition teacher, real estate agent, insurance agent.
U take up another law degree be medical claims lawyer.

You can do admin. You can do pharmaceuticals. You can work for drug companies.

Basically u must work hard.

Other fields get to where they are by working hard. If you dont commit 18hr per day u cannot expect big money.

The problem is a lot of docs self entitled

U start off scientific/medical affairs manager.
Slowly promote to senior scientific/medical affairs manager
Then assistant regional director/country head
Regional director

Handle regulatory issues.
Must be able to talk and sell, present yourself well.

Starting pay wont be high, maybe a 6-8k per mth but if you tiong for very long. The top positions can be a third to half a mil easily.

And good training provided
