I mean working as a junior in government hospital, I feel that the care isn't that bad, but of course I am not sure if private would be better as I have no experience myself.
(After all knee replacement is a Pretty straightforward surgery that can be done electively, so not sure if need to spend extra to go private..)
See your insurance lor

Simple surgeries = private
Complex surgeries = govt

Resident physician = doctor training to become a specialist

AC means they have finished residency and can now practice independently.

You confirm not from healthcare.
Residents = Specialist Trainee
Resident Physicians = Tied to a department, registrar equivalent. Permanent saikang, never a consultant. (s://.physician.mohh.com.sg/medicine/medical-service-career-path)
