But now life v good. They go post call at 12pm next day. So just 30hours

But then they also dont really come at 6am. More of come at 7am so 29hours.

Usually they will have at least 3-4 meal breaks of half to 1 hour each. So become 26hours.

Plus they talk cock sing song in MO room so minus 2-3 hours, so 23 hours.

Then on call, they go back call room to catch forty winks, so minus another 2-3hours, so 20hours.

So the 30+ hours is overestimate. My own experience is about 20 working hours per call.
Granted you are physically in hosp for that 30hours but you are only working or about 20 or less.
wa, let me know which hospital/department this is in. comm hosp?

Currently a mo (mopex), just curious, given that the covid 19 situation is going to last for around a year (based on the opinion of various experts and government around the world, including PM Lee), does that mean we are stuck in our current posting for the whole of the year?? (Since we are not allowed to cross clusters or hospitals)

Yes. Back during SARS they did this as well.

I was in GS SGH at that time. They extended the MOPEX postings. Until all clear then we made the changes.

So you could be stuck where you are for longer and depends when the Covid19 situation blows over.

Did the government not announced that healthcare workers at the frontline will get around 1 month extra pay? Why is it that it is not reflected in our pay this month

Hi everyone, img here graduating this year. Got peg, hence coming back. Interested in fm vs im
Can I check if there are significant difference in the work culture between the 3 major clusters/hospitals (nuh vs sgh vs ttsh)
Asking from a IM/FM perspective, and more on a junior doctor (ho/mo level)

Does MO pay increase over the years eg PGY2 vs PGY5? Assuming I don’t get into residency (let’s be realistic); but if we do get into residency how much will the pay change? Bf and I are applying for bto and since we’re still undergrads, we’ll be going for deferred income assessment. Our worry is that when they assess our income for grants and loans 5 years later, we’re not sure if we will hit the limit or get very minimal grants. Any advice? Thanks

Pay increase by 2-3 % yearly, 3-4% if you perform well
