Can anyone confirm if they are any changes to the HOMO salary? Received an email that says salary will be revised this month. It's not just talking about the clinical allowance right?

FM resident exiting next year, have tried asking my bosses/polyclinic heads etc but no one has given me a straight reply.
1) How is the demand for FPs in the private sector? Will I earn more than a non residency trained GP (and if so how much more?)
2) Is it encouraged to sign the FP bond for exam sponsorship etc? Not sure of the details and how much they will pay me yet...
3) How useful is it to apply for and get the fellowship in FM? Is that worth studying due to the cost and will it correlate to a good pay increase?
Enjoy working at the polyclinics but not sure what the career prospects are outside and if I should continue (single child with 2 Aging parents too w no savings). Thanks.

1) Tbh gp vs mmed fm no diff in pte sector.
Mmed use is just for ops.
2) current climate favours signing on
3) fellowship need support of your boss. Usually after mmed ppl will not jump onto fellowship so early. Accumulate some exp and go for mcfps before fellowship
U enjoy working in ops. Do u do gen clinic slots or protected FM trainee slots with just 5 patients
U sound like from the central north cluster. Good passing rate for mmed that cluster. Southern eastern cluster has poor rates and mid west to west intermediate.

Thx for the reply boss.
So I guess fellowship etc will only be of use in ops? I am considering doing it but it’s really exp esp with all the study loans still to pay off. How’s the prospects like after fellowship? Does signing on help sponsor some of the cost of doing so/ get support from my boss?
Nowadays we do more gen clinic slots, but yea enjoy seeing the pts etc even though we have to rush sometimes.

How is the climate/situation for private gp nowadays. I have heard people saying it is saturated, but yet i still see plenty of jobs being advertised on the locum gp websites...

I'm thinking of becoming a RP as I dont think I'm capable to complete the whole residency programme. May I know how much does an average RP / senior RP / principal RP make?

Half call $110 weekday $160 weekend
Full call $220 weekday $315 weekend
Rounds on weekend and PH no extra money, but can claim mileage or grab
Oncall on PH gets one day off in lieu or 1 day basic salary extra in addition to call rate ... About $200-$220
