Isn't family net worth talks also highly dependent on the number of beneficiaries? If you have two other contestants, then it is literally total net worth divided by three. I am surprised that this is not included in the discussions.

Yea that’s why it’s crushing. Sometimes ur just unlucky, if there’s 3 seats and u aren’t one of the 3 but also competent + bonded and unable to train elsewhere it’s just tough. If u know ur not good and u don’t get in that’s not crushing but it’s painful to know u have the ability

Because I don’t need to take on huge responsibility to manage a clinic as a full time anchor doc. Also don’t need to chase the aesthetics dream because that market is very competitive.
Locum life is flexible. I get a lot of time to spend with my family
I also get to do things I like like travelling/volunteer at temples in Taiwan etc.
I just don’t want to regret when I am in my 60s.
No point trying to chase riches (aesthetics) for a higher pay now but then lose all my youth to it

Bonded is not an excuse. Bond for five years only. Don't make it sounds like bond is for ten years.

I wouldn't but starting specialisation after 30 is not rare.
