Money is never a consideration for me, so I am not the best person to answer this question.
But I guess you have to ask yourself on the projected cost of earning lost if you stay in the UK for another ten years and if it is worth it.
Keen to hear your thoughts.

Very hard to decide, let me break it down:
1. If I stay in the UK and specialise for 9 years, ill be making an average of ~120k sgd post tax vs if i return to sg and get into residency within 1-2 years post HO, i値l be making around ~160k sgd on average annually. Obviously the latter is the better choice
2. If I return to sg and become a GP, after 2-3 years post HO then there would be a 5 year period or so where i知 making around 100k a year more than being in the UK but my long term income would be a lot lower than a post CCT ENT specialist in SG.

Bro do u consider the benefit if a hidden passport or even potentially an ILR that u don't need to hide and just need to visit UK once a year?
Kid still won't get home fee unless you go there for 3y but potentially when u get old and its time for kids' education u could let him do high school there while waiting status, 2y a levels + ns while u sit uk 180d a year boom ur kid pays 9.5k gbp for mbbs no bond easy specialty easy entry

definitely uk if you value work-life balance for training. SG pays higher than UK because the working hours are easily 2X more.
Per hour pay UK is highest that's a fact. Distance is not an issue when you have the time. Choose a deanery outside London if you want the best work-life balance and low cost of living.

What are the criteria for a child born abroad to be ILR if a parent is ILR

How to maintain ILR status after returning to sg?

Cannot. You can't even sit for MRCP Part 1 until at least 1 year after med school graduation.
The earliest time that it's possible to complete MRCP is later half of PGY2 and this is with taking Part 1/2/PACES at the earliest possible setting and passing everything first time... PGY3 (or 4) is a bit more realistic for most people, which also ties in with the IM residency/UK training timelines of when MRCP is required for progression.

Looks complicated and i cant advise as a non-uk bro
For ourselves is very straightforward but for kids seem automatically citizenship if parents ILR
So perhaps do sg citizenship and apply ILR for kid separately (i think possible?)
Or just hide the other one (?)
Parents easy to maintain ilr, just go back once a year for a few days i think, best if have ties like a property there collecting rent
