The difference in money dosent seem enough to incentivise the gruelling residencies. A lot of the ones with long hours and tough work have been dropping in competitveness i feel.

Heard that got leadership paths for FM.
Scraping the barrel already.

Eh i guess private patients care u are in panel or not
Unless fm gets better reimbursement i dont feel that's a big deal?
Then cash paying ones don't really want to pay extra 20-25 more just because u did a lot more training
I guess u get more knowledge after residency and potentially patients think u are better
But spending more time or pretending to be detailed in examination may get the same result...?
C in phi won't make more than private anyway
But do u get a lot more clout being an SC and teach so that u can nepo ur kid back to sth decent?

FM C actually makes as much or more than average private GP. Also theres so many GDFM so it helps with differentiating a bit

FM consultant needs fcfp, which is not what residency alone gives you.
I.e not every mmeder will clear fcfp and become consultant.
I wonder if FM consultant can hit 350-400k in phi. I know mmeder AC is around 250k plus minus

Any clue what our nsx C/SC make in PHI? Never actually asked one but surely they are paid fairly for the insane amount and difficulty of work that they do

i think the difference is generational attitude and booming aesthetic medicine. youngsters are more inclined to work outstide the hopital and prioritise work life balance. my classmate set up his own aesthetic clinic at 32 eight years ago and that was not the norm back then. but these days should be the goal for many who want to exit PHI

I am a singaporean RMO working in Queensland and I made around ~70000 aud working this year. Average around 45 hours a week after including on-call shifts and nights.
How much is a first year MO earning in SG? And what’s the hours like?
