Can't have them thinking you are same breed if you went to some no name site even you are board certified ba?

They do not decide if you get on the specialist list in Singapore.

Don't ask me how they do it at 50. But it is impressive. When I reach 50, I wish I can be that energetic too.

Work life balance is the main reason why I did psych. Right now I am based in a small medical centre in the Northeast my consults are 50/50 phone and in person. I am in the geriatric consult service.
I have lots of time to look at stocks in my phone all day and watch videos while waiting for the next patient. Practice is government sponsored facility so they don’t really care about production targets etc. I generally only see up to 12 patients max in a day. Some take long time like 1 hour but most can be done under 30mins.

Eh bro yes they don't decide but I guess they decide if you are getting those clinical prof appointment or C post in hospital which are useful for brand name and marketing if you go private?
Feels like going UK may be better, less cut throat training. Specialty selection scoring is available publicly to game the system. And radcliffe (oxford) and addenbrooke (cambridge) trust have decent layman prestige but easier to get in that london trusts [uk bros can correct me if i am wrong]

London is overrated seriously. High rents mugging in the streets and all that. I did my med school there (Barts) and it was honestly a regrettable choice.
Would recommend you preference either Northern or Peninsula. Good pace of life fewer patients and generally more affordable living.

This is like saying NTU no name school compared to NUS how can u be a doctor? Also the HMDP guys didn’t even do residency in the US fellowship only. Getting into residency is hard. Also if u perform well in residency and network u can do a no name residency and named fellowship

Bro i probably cant get into barts lol got a 3.5 gpa and i asked them they say last year cut off for 5-year mbbs with 2:1 equivalent is 3100 ucat
Coupled with 49k gbp tuition a year before rent and everything else that just sucks
But then barts is a good name I thought? At least the 3 london schools + Edinburgh are recognized as the top ones after Oxbridge
I probably apply aussie and leicester / notts / soton next year. Can't see the reason doing duke nus given its not cheap and bonded.

Consider Ireland as an alternative if your grades cannot qualify for uk schools

I think london is good for med school because of thr large tertiary centres and private practice presence as well tho. If planning for an eventual move to singapore either pre or post cct it’s good to have expeirence in a large tertiary centre because that’s essentially what singapore has. The smaller town med schools seem to offer less specialist exposure and less chance to build connections with well reknowned doctors

id say if ur aiming for london, aim for ICL, UCL and KCL. Barts global ranking is worse than those 3 so if ur aiming to do residency somehwre abroad it’s better to go to the most “prestigious” for the global recognition even tho education wise it’s the same
