What does EM do?
EM physician lead a team of EM mopex in ED to call subspec juniors to come down to review. Most Senior RP in EM function pretty much independently
In pte ucc, we have RMO (same seniority as senior RP) calling subspec con down.
Hence EM physician dont have much potential in pte

I feel sorry for the young generation. Life is getting very hard because salaries are not rising in tandem with the increase in housing. I foresaw this 20 years ago. What I did not foresee was that it would be something happening globally. So now it is also difficult for my kids to own property even though they are not living in Singapore.
The only way is to be involved in finance and investments. Either working in it or investing.
Those of you who said need parents help are very right. It's come to a point you wonder whether working is even sensible at all. Better to spend time and energy on learning how to invest, work the markets, be a landlord, learn to prospect property deals etc.
Forget about medicine if you really are looking at becoming rich. Opening a clinic group and running the business is a possible way but has its barriers and risks as well.
Ideally, hope your parents are rich and have several Singapore properties.

Thats why i say medicine is for the average intellect
And phD is for the lowest intellect
Average intellect earns averagely of 500k for specialist and 300k on average for GP

If a GP earns 500k are they above average intellect?
I think for GP earn more than 300k is not by intellect.
Soft skills.
In Singapore seems like scope of work GP can do is quite fixed and standard.

Use your 300k per annum salary to invest in Sg properties, can have at least extra S$100k a year

The guy never said a GP can make 500k he said 300k which is very easily doable as a GP if u work hard. With investments 500k is definitely doable over time. I am quite senior now but I have a lot of peers who are GPs who run their clinics and target the right niche who are making even 7 figures a year so it’s definitely possible. U have to be smart and have good people and business skills but it’s doable

Wow, first time hear GP can make 7 figures.
Only heard one small group GP chain boss say he makes $400k pa.
And seen 2 of my peers open GP clinics but had to close down so always thought it is quite hard to survive as a solo GP clinic
