Yes indeed. One popular method is renting out hdb while living in private.
Hdb rental gives the best yield.
I am already paying 4k rental for my temporary 5rm hdb rental flat.

Whatever that you are saying is not realistic when you consider today prices. I am a non-surgical AC but I am already struggling to pay off my condo mortgage. Meanwhile my peers who chose to remain as GPs, are still stuck in HDB and some even complain the prices of HDB are too high.. you are looking at close to 1.3 million for a 5 room flat in a mature estate like Toa Payoh or Dawson
Buying even a condo is out of reach for the majority who remain as GP/FP, unless they get married and take up a loan with their spouse. Even then, it will take many years to service that loan

Hmm, maybe u r right, prices have indeed shot up higher than wages.
I must count myself lucky to be from the older generation then.
No wonder the animosity towards me. Most of you are stuck in hdb and condos.

Hardworking gp can chiong 25k-30k per month for first few years.
Why cannot afford HDB.

For a surgical or procedural AC it’s definitely possible to achieve a landed. Build a good name in public while earning well then either become an SC or private consultant. For GP tho I think it would be hard
