This might sound stupid but I just enjoy the work. Time really flies in the OR and the prospect of being paid to do my passion is exciting

Good that you found your passion. It will sustain you for the next 20 to 40 years

Think its a tad weird that the 50 year old lady with cash in hand has now taken over the forum and is harping on property for some reason.
Yes, we get that property can help.

But you need a lot of money to leverage.
no one can buy multiple properties in THIS day with $7.5 - 11k pay without either parents support or some windfall.

A normal 20-30 year old doesnt have this much cash in hand.

Not asking u to buy landed in yr 20s. My first home was an EC too.

Just advising u to get on the property ladder and u should be able to work yr way up as u grow older.

Our gains is like S$90k a year passively from property appreciation.

Nope, he's doing fine.

And govt gives out money to hdb households regularly.

His income should be more than enough to sustain his family comfortably.

Better not get into the property ladder unless you can afford it.

Loan interest is often underestimated and you are locking lots of money into an illiquid asset.

Besides, this forum is about income, not property.

Many people have short term memory.

During the Covid years, gp clinics saw a massive drop in business.

Why? Mask wearing and other Covid restrictions resulted in less people getting sick.

Many doctors saw their income drop a lot.

Some even had to take loans to pay for their Pte property loan installments.
