Ya, really low, barely have any savings every month. Full reg only about S$11K. Then cannot leave for a year or gotta pay back 3 mths. That's why need investments in property and stocks to survive and achieve FIRE.

Locum rates are higher now and if u work nights, u can get high pay.

But I work 41 hrs a week office hrs.

I take a lot of HL and need the medical benefits as getting older.

Your friends must either locum long hrs, own their own clinic or work in Aesthetics. Normal employee GPs don't earn so much.

The property game like getting harder and harder.
A 2 bed condo now costs around 1.7-1.8m (new launch).
Newer resale in the better locations also 1.5-1.6m
For single, even with GP/AC salary doable, but also not easy.
- sadly for singles no point playing the HDB market due to mop restrictions
- to get landed, not sure need to flip how many times (or even possible man)

Just started out the journey with a 2 bed condo in mid 30s, Not sure where I can eventually upgrade to..

Though my pay only a pathetic S$7500 now, my combined networth with hubby is S$4 mil at about age 50 years. We can actually FIRE and retire now. Thanks to stocks like UOB, Nvidia and Meta and of course Sg property.

Yes indeed, Sg property now very expensive. That's why many parents are helping their children.

No actually they work normal hours. U can google, base anchor GP fresh no YOE is 18-22k offers. Then usually with more years of production and experience, 30k is doable. Many are also in aesthetics making more than 30k

This is really a lot lower than I expected. Am a specialist now but a lot of my peers seem to be making a lot more than this even as GP

I had interviews with a few groups. They only offer about S$15k. I think higher need to do Aesthetics or work nights and weekends.

Anyway, once I get my full reg, I can explore options outside.

But I had a terrible experience working for a small GP group before. Worked through CNY and when I needed an MC, they fired me without pay!

Hence wary about exploring outside too.

My current workplace is easy to take leave and MC and HL.
