it's just like eveyrone is saying private practice very good etc, why not all C and SC jump to private?

it's simple , people are greedy
not sure why people always paint doctors who drop out of the residecny game as greedy while people who complete residency are not greedy...
my take? most people are greedy , plus I can argue those who join residnecy etc are also power hungry.
also, regarding residnecy, not everyone wants to play the game, especially when it is biased .... have you noticed , if youre the son of a surgeon , you most likely wont be rejected ? have seen a few examples...
maybe they believe skills and knowledge are hereditary, so if a father is a famous colorectal surgeon then son will also be the same.

Setup private grind even harder then reality bites.
Aiyah, best is to choose a more senglang speciality like occupational med, public health , fam med etc
Then easy easy farm in public.
Max mc annual leave conference leave , training leave
Work minimum number of days a year.
Every 3 to 4 years earn 1 million.
Ok la.

u do realise that a lot of procedural and surgical C and SC make enough money to be more than satisfied. There is very little motivation to go private atp so not everyone bothers to take the leap

my medical school batch those who are in competitive residencies many parents are surgeons themselves or high ranking CMB even
and i guess being the child of some atas surgeon/prof very hard to not be power hungry to live up to the name others expect of you

tbh there’s plenty of non nepo and even IMG in competitive residencies so I don’t think it has that insane an effect
