Tbh, U know I know la, if can make it, most don't break bond and would train in something, even public medicine.
I've seen some pretty driven folks who want to do gp business from the get go.
Even they stay around and do rotations in paediatrics, ops, gen med, a&E , derm etc to learn the ropes because year 1 or 2 break bond? What do these folks know man..don't even trust them to treat an urti.
Most of your bond breakers are jaded Mo who can't get into training, lost interest in doctoring etc and wants to do nothing to advance themselves but can't really find anything that readily pays them 200k a year. Break bond and become private gp lo.
Private specialist might not easily make 4 to 5 times a GP salary la
Ur rheumatologist where got 1 million salary? Ditto for quite a fair bit of medical specialist
Even ur non interventional cardiologist will struggle to rake in a million from consultation alone.
My neighbourhood got a cardio clinic in the HDB. I every morning walk by , clinic no one de while the gp clinic few shops away busting with people. I dun see how the cardio clinic can out earn the gp clinic.

He was specifically referring to surgeons. Also a public consultant surgeon TC is a lot more than the average private GP as well. Yes it’s hard. Yes it takes a lot of work and effort. But realistically if u do succeed in the route you’d be making the same as a GP by 31-33 and more than a GP by 35. U will also eventually be able to be well established in private and earn in the higher range of 6 figs by 42-43 and retire comfortably by 45-50. Ofc this only refers to proceduralists and surgeons. If ur medical non interventional ie other than derm, gastro, cards, makes sense to consider GP
But i still think aesthetics is definitely close to trying to become a surgeon because u can make the same money with much less effort

For non-interventionist like internal med, public health, respiratory, generally if stay in public, how much can they earn

Where U working now?
I had applied for a deputy director position before to do school health programmes many years ago ( pre covid)
In the end we cant agree on the salary and I had to give it up.
It was significantly lower than poly pay by about 30 percent
Yes..dd position annual cannot match a ops laojao AC pay.
Dunno what they thinking.
U have to decide if doing a paper pusher job is worth it or not.
For me I dun really need the 30 percent since I save quite a lot.
But it means I have to delay my retirement.
In the end , just continue lo.
Bank account fat fat
A few more years just coast FIRE liao.
Ot ot locum 2 or 3 days a week.

Who wants to open GP clinic
A senior of mine sold me his GP because it isn’t doing well. He is a Malay, but his clinic is located in the Silver Zone ageing population, where most of them are Chinese-speaking elderly, so he got really poor traction. Sold it to me so he can focus on his first clinic at Orchard
Would want to take over, but I have a couple of years of bond to clear. Does anyone want to collaborate?
Pumped in around 100k to refurbish already. The location is really good as well. The next closest clinic is three traffic junctions away, and the new to-area launch (building in progress) is directly across the road, right outside the clinic's doorstep. More info can be shared

hmmm.
u got pawed off a failed clinic?
if location that good, hire any of the numerous Chinese MOs / half baked drop out fam med residents can already, why need to sell you?
GP chains paying anywhere from 15-22K per month. If location is as good as u say, it's not hard to turn a profit.
Good luck.

You are overlooking the fact that he may just not want to spend the time managing a second clinic and would rather just focus on the main one to make a similar amount of money
