Successful solo GP practice can have revenue of 1.5 million plus.
Ah bo U see people bid nearly 40k per month for HDB clinic spaces.

recently had a newly minted AC friend share that restructured hospitals give consultants a bunch of KPI that they have to follow - clinic load, number and variety of OT cases, teaching and admin/research
not sure if the consultant pay is worth it anymore
having to meet all these KPI after slogging through residency to get there

Definitely must meet.
Ac only must be obedient.

6 years residency
Then Do another 2-7 years of public service before you go Pte
CARE
Clinical
Admin
Research
Education
AC you cannot go Pte yet. Just slog another 2-7 years ba

I mean tbh once you meet the KPI you get paid around 60-70k annually so it’s not too bad. And there’s time allocated for the admin and teaching so it’s a break from clinical work

It’s not worth it.. the long slog of residency training to AC. Why waste your youth studying for exams and burning midnight shifts at hospital, while your more enterprising friends are already earning their pot of gold in aesthetics outside?
Your aesthetic friends probably have their own clinics, by the time you become a full-fledged consultant.

yea aesthetics is great also but in the long run i estimate a succesful procedural or surgical consultant does better overall considering private potential

Is it easy to go private ? Based on MOH statistics, seemed like most specialists are in public hospitals.
